OUR Driving Force

Project Governance

Our project is driven by dedicated teams who will ensure success in our project milestones.

Advisory Council

The Council will be composed of donors, disciples and well-wishers of His Eminence who can assist with all aspects of project. They should be experts in fundraising, business operations, finance, investing, art, culture, and Buddhism. The Council will function as a panel in individual capacity and will only have an advisory role.

Governing Board

This board of Bhutan Tara Foundation will be the highest decision-making body of the project. It will be composed of Lopen Rimpoche as the Spiritual Patron, and headed by a chairperson and two vice chairpersons. One or two seats will be assigned to international members who can support the Tara Retreat Centre project.

Project Steering Committee

This committee will be the executing body of the project. It will be composed of members who are directly involved with the project, such as project director, project managers, site engineers, consulting architects and others.
